Privacy Policy

This explains what Tellr collects, why, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. We've kept it plain-language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email hello@usetellr.com and we'll answer properly.

What we collect

• Your account. Email address, name if you give one, and which workspace you belong to. We use it to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
• What you tell us about your brand. Your website, what you sell, your voice and guidelines, your keywords, and anything you add to your knowledge base. This is what we write from.
• Your work in Tellr. The threads we find for you, the drafts we write, what you approved, and what went live — with the public Reddit links.
• Billing.Your balance, what you've paid, and what each comment drew down. We never see or store your card details — those go straight to Stripe.
• How you found us. If you arrive from an ad or a campaign link, we record the campaign details and whether you came from a phone or a desktop, so we know which marketing works.
• Basic usage and errors. Which pages loaded, which emails you opened, and diagnostic logs when something breaks.

We do not collect special-category data (health, biometrics, political or religious views), and we ask you not to put any into your brand knowledge base.

If you connect an AI assistant

You can connect Claude, or another assistant that speaks MCP, to your workspace. When you do, we store a credential for that connection and the time it was last used — never anything the assistant said to you, and never your conversation with it.

The assistant reads only your own workspace, only what the permission you granted allows, and only when you ask it something. You choose read-only or read-plus-changes at the moment you connect, and you can disconnect it at any time from Settings → Connections, which stops its access immediately.

Who else sees it

We share the minimum needed to run the service, and we don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

• Publishing partners. When you approve a comment or post, its text and the target thread go to the partners who publish it on Reddit from established accounts on our behalf.
• AI providers. Your brand brief and the thread being answered go to Anthropic to draft and score replies. It is not used to train their models.
• Search data providers. Your keywords go to the services we use to read Google results and AI Overviews. They receive the search term, not your account.
• Infrastructure and operations. Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Sentry (error diagnostics).
• Advertising measurement. If you arrived from an ad, we tell Meta that a signup or purchase happened. Your email is hashed before it is sent.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a buyer if the business is sold — in which case this policy travels with it.

How long we keep it

Your account and workspace data stay for as long as your account is open. Billing records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Diagnostic logs are kept for around 90 days. Assistant credentials are deleted when you disconnect them.

Comments that have already been published on Reddit are public posts on Reddit's own platform. Deleting your Tellr account does not remove them — ask us and we will request removal, which is subject to Reddit's and each subreddit's rules.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email hello@usetellr.com and we'll action it within 30 days. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately; you'll still get essential messages about your account and billing.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. Credentials for connected assistants are stored only as a one-way hash, so even we cannot read them back.
